“The only thing I can sense right now is you.” He stopped suddenly and before she knew it, he’d pulled her into his arms.

He caught her chin in one hand and tipped her head up as he brought his mouth crashing down on hers. It wasn’t a kiss this time. It was a soul-searing declaration of need that made her body hum from her lips to the tips of her toes.

His fingers tangled in her hair as his tongue brushed across the seam of her lips, seeking entrance.

She gave in with a soft moan, leaning into his strength and letting him take control.

“Hold on.”

She barely had time to register his words and react before he unfurled his wings and launched them into the air. His mouth never left hers, his arms locked around her like iron bars. She took advantage of their positions to wrap her legs around his hips.
